Wonder Woman Kryptonian Style custom action figure

Description

I bought a spare Faora figure loose and remembered that when I first saw the figure, I thought it might make a decent base for a stylised Wonder Woman. There have also been (rather troubling) rumours that Wonder Woman in the Batman vs. Superman film will be of Kryptonian descent. While I can't vouch for the veracity of that rumour and while I don't really like the idea, I think that visually, a Wonder Woman wearing a suit of armour with Man of Steel Kryptonian influence could be interesting. I really didn't think this would work and wanted to give up several times but am relieved that I got it to work.

I ripped out the cape (filling in the resulting gap) and several armour pieces like the giant shoulder pads, and also removed, trimmed and re-attached the belt. I also did a whole bunch of dremelling, particularly to the collar and removed the parts where Faora's helmet would connect to her outfit, re-sculpting the resulting hole in her chest. I sculpted the "W" symbol onto the chest plate. I rummaged through my fodder bin and really struggled to look for the right head and finally settled on Storm from the X-Men movie. The head was completely modified so it could fit onto the neck peg. Total repaint and a sculpted-on tiara with the star in the centre. I also cut the fringe of the hair and painted it black. The right hand is from a Star Sapphire Wonder Woman and the left hand is from a Big Barda. A really important factor in getting it to remotely work as Wonder Woman was the colour scheme, so I went all-out with traditional Wonder Woman colours. For the accessories, I wanted to create a shield and used the DCUC Guardian shield as a base. It does look a lot more old-fashioned than the rest of the figure but I think that it works in the end. The sword was from a Spider-Man 3 New Goblin; it bears a bit of a resemblance to the Kryptonian dagger that Faora uses in Man of Steel. The lasso of truth was from a Star Sapphire Wonder Woman. Thanks for having a look!
